How to Apply?

Each question in the NIT examination carries one mark. A candidate shall get one mark for correct response. Record your answer with black (HB) pencil. There will be negative marking in case of wrong answer. Choose the most suitable answer. In case you wish to change an answer, erase the old answer and mark your fresh choice.

Nevertheless, candidates are advised not to resort to blind guessing, which may not be of any help to them. The OMR sheets are provided to the candidates for marking the answers of NIT.

Processing and Declaration of the Result

The scoring of the answer-sheets for NIT shall be done through the computer systems. All possible precautions are taken and necessary checks applied while processing the result to ensure zero error results.

The final award shall be declared on the basis of performance in NIT. Only the selected candidates shall be informed. The results will be published on the challengers website also. Marks obtained by the candidates in NIT examination shall not be disclosed.

Since the NIT applies rigorous checks and counterchecks before the declaration of result, no request for re-evaluation or rechecking of scripts will be entertained.

Rules and Regulations for Disbursement of Scholarships

The awardees are eligible to receive scholarship in the form of cash through cheque.

Rates of Scholarship

The awardees will be paid the announced amount in lump sum in the form of cheque.

Mode of Payment

The payment of scholarship shall be made in the name of the awardees only through the head of the institution concerned.
